Mozilla Firefox 3.0 versus Internet eXplorer 7.0 (Web Browser War!)

Guys! I have something to share with you based on my personal experiences.

I used to have 2GB HDD (Gigabyte) Pentium 1 with 330 Mhz when I was in high school but I aspired to have internet connection so I donated it to my Alma Mater after I bought my next desktop. During college life, I upgraded my desktop to 20Gig Pentium 3 with 860Mhz velocity. Using my 3G phone, I started browsing the internet with the default web browser of my OS (Operating System) installer, the Internet Explorer. I have known this famous web browser since elementary years and I never knew any web browser but only this kind. I thought, my P3 was not really good enough to have a faster internet browser and maybe because I'm just surfing with my N Series mobile phone.

After 5 years, when I graduated college and found my first job, I was able to buy my personal notebook with 1GB memory 120GB HDD and Pentium Dual Core processor T2330. And yet, my P3 is still surviving.

With the benefits of my job, I now have unlimited 1Mbps internet broadband connection. I started using Windows 98, 2000, ME XP (Service Packs Pro) and now Vista. Using internet explorer, it takes couple of times to completely finish reloading. Every time I am opening a new TAB (I quote it as side-by-side internet websites/webpages in one window) this would take almost 20seconds waiting time before URL link becomes available. Of course, since I have been using it for years and trusted it, I put the blame on Windows Vista Operating System and concluded that since it's just new in the market this would really have to go a very long way to improve. I was actually thinking then to downgrade and get back to Windows XP Service Pack Pro but I don't have that installer anymore. I can't help but to extend my patience. Anyways, waiting was very considerable since I just was using Pentium 3 that required me a LONG, LONG AND LONGER PATIENCE...

Until one time, I stumbled upon a particular website which features Mozilla Firefox: Faster, Safer and Smarter web browser. It caught my attention and immediately read its features. All features written were great to be true so I didn't easily believe it. I could't get enough and decided to see it for myself. After downloading the Firefox, and started using it... $@&#$! Why I didn't discovered it earlier?!?

Everytime I press CTRL + T, IN JUST A SNAP! I can easily encode my preferred website without the hassle of waiting for 20 more seconds. Unbelievable! The most important thing is that I can view, browse and search several web pages even FASTER than before! Incomparably amazing!

I'm asking myself while writing this paragraph, "Why Firefox is SMARTER than Internet Explorer"?

Bookmark.
IE: just a star icon click
Fox: CTRL-D

IE Advantages:
I can easily send a copy of webpage, say a blog page or forums, to my Microsoft Office OneNote and read it offline during my spare time.

There are some plug-ins capable only for Internet Explorer (e.g. video clips, shhhhh quiet! You might know what that is.. ehehehe). Everytime I am trying to update/install the missing plug-ins with Firefox, it fails to install. I dunno why. Would that possibly mean it's a potential virus? Maybe, I really dunno.

Recommendation:
I wish IE and Fox will have both keyboard short-cuts to switch between TABS. It's a little bit hassle to always grab the mouse every time I transfer to the other websites. Though, I recently found out, with Fox every time I double click the TAB I can easily use the left and right arrow key to switch between websites.

To IE, you can also try improving your web browser by using less computer's memory to speed up the browsing performance.

I have been doing internet banking, paying all my bills online. Until now, I am always cautious every time I used my credit card and ATM via internet. Online threats have been abundantly scattering along the net. But based on independent study in 2006, Firefox got only 2% risk of the time as compared to Internet Explorer which is 78% more risky, is it safe?

Remember! Prevention is better than sorry.
